Update 920 12 October 2022

As previously advertised in Update 833... Regrettably we can no longer hold the postage cost at its 2018 price (55p) and unfortunately have to raise this to 61p. This covers the cost of postage, envelopes and time and is still less than the off-the-shelf cost of a second class stamp alone. It is also less than if the price had risen in line with inflation since 2018. We hope you agree it continues to represent good value for money. The new postage cost will be applied from the start of the 2023 crop of ID cards. Note that it is now possible to significantly reduce ID Card costs by displaying them in the Raildays app instead of in physical form. See Update 913.
